A beautiful couple, abundant blush and coral peonies, and a sunny gorgeous day at the Pillar and Post – this is what our dreams are made of! Let me start by saying Lianna and Joey are such a sweet, loving couple who were completely trusting in our work from day one. I remember Dan and I sitting down with them for the first time when I was waddling around at 8 months pregnant and then seeing them again for their engagement session with a cranky newborn in the back of our car. They have been nothing but sweet, understanding and excited about working together. The photos from their day reflect the soft and summery colour palette of mint, peach and coral and really highlight all of the beautiful romantic moments mixed with the FUN memories they made with their awesome bridal party, and afterwards at the reception. Featuring a great group of vendors (Cathy Martin Flowers , Honor Beauty,  Liquid Entertainment, Cathy Davis & Co., Simply Beautiful Decor  ) I’ll let the images tell the rest of their beautiful story!

It’s weddings like this one that really make Dan and I appreciate just how fortunate we are to be able to do what we love, and travel to all sorts of new, exciting spots! Mike and I met in Toronto at the Yorkville salon he used to work at, which led to working on countless creative shoots together over the years. When he and his fiancé Jenn reached out about their wedding in Cambridge, Massachusetts we were so excited to celebrate with them and check out all that Boston has to offer! We really couldn’t have asked for more beautiful spring weather, and a more relaxed, fun, bridal party to work with. From the moment we started shooting, the fun never stopped. I mean, we knew it would be a fun day when the wedding day details featured the muppets , and all things geek-chic with nods to all things scientific (Bunsen and Beaker, centrepieces held in test tubes, and hosted at “Catalyst” restaurant – it makes sense when the bride has a phd in chemistry!) With the help of Mike’s mother who found us the most beautiful spots to shoot in, we fell completely in love with the old red brick buildings, gardens and courtyards in Cambridge. Have a look at some of our favourite shots from the day. Congratulations you two lovebirds, thanks for inviting us to share in your special day!

How lucky we are to work in a region that is home to so many talented wedding professionals! When Cathy Martin Flowers and I sat down to brainstorm some ideas for our next collaboration we had our hearts set on exploring the “fine art” aesthetic that is sweeping the industry, and for good reason. We love the paired-down, natural -light look of editorials that allow you to focus on the true beauty in the details and we are so happy with our result! We were lucky enough to work with The Cellar as a location that allowed for us to shoot exclusively with natural light. I haven’t picked up a film camera in ages, but it was a good chance to explore that side of photography and fun to see how closely I could match my digital files with the film shots I captured. This shoot could not have been nearly as beautiful if it wasn’t for the vendors we collaborated with and their enthusiasm for their craft. The dresses from Catherine Langlois literally took our breath away with their beauty. The incredible old-world charm and delicacy of Corsivo Calligraphy‘s invitation suite was a treat to photograph. Our model Ty (my forever- muse from fashion days of old) exudes a grace I can’t quite put into words, but always transcends my camera. Perfectly polished by the talents of Paje from Honor Beauty who bent-over-backwards to accommodate us for hair and beauty, Ty looked incredible. And when she walked out in that floral gown from Breeyn McCarney we all felt so inspired! The soft and sweet cake and darling macarons from Sweet Celebrations were the perfect pairing to our table, so beautifully designed and decorated by Cathy Martin Flowers and Gala Decor.

We are so thrilled that Style Me Pretty loved the photos as much as we do and chose to publish this for their readers to see. Aleisha and Kavan were married on a drizzly day this past month at The Stone Mill Inn in Thorold, a venue I had been looking forward to working at since it’s opening. These two could not have been easier to work with. Both were calm, cool and so fun from the moment I took out my camera to the end of the night. Rain kept our locations limited, but not once did either Aleisha or Kavan question my decisions and they were great at “rolling with the punches” which resulted in some really beautiful images in and around their venue. With coordination by Martina at A Divine Affair and florals by Beatties Fresh Flower Market take a look at some of my favourite moments from the day
